We shall regularly drink water for health, to get rid of excess weight, to have a beautiful body structure. But why water is so important to us?

Water is of great vital importance for we can continue our body structure and life as a health. Because, the human body consists of 2/3 water and water fulfills many important functions of our body. People's needs for water also vary. Although it is sufficient to drink 2-2.5 liters of water averagely on a daily basis, but as the weight of people increases, the need for water also increases, therefore the water needs of people with high weight can increase to 4-5 liters. You can know from the color of the urine if you drink enough water. It indicates that if the color of the urine is darker, the water isn’t sufficiently drunk, and if it is light, the water is sufficiently drunk. Other indicator, you urinate 7-8 times in a day. If you urinate less, the water you drink is not enough for your organism.

When you drink little water, blood flow loses and thickens. So if the body has water deficiency, the blood coagulates more than norm, it causes very little oxygen and nutrients to the organs. Therefore, problems such as fatigue, weakness, lack of energy, inability to wake up in the morning arise. Another function of water in the body is to help digestion of some vitamins, minerals and nutrients. Particularly B group vitamins and vitamin C are among the most important. The people who drink enough water are more elastic, because the skin is well moistened, wrinkles are prevented, i.e aging is delayed.

It prevents from joint pains ensuring the smoothness of your joints. The best way to remove the toxins accumulated in the body is to drink plenty of water. Water to be drunk half an hour before the meal, leads to take less food creating a feeling of fullness in the stomach, and, thus, prevents from the obesity. After learning all these benefits of water, injustice we will done to our body and harm we will do to our health will led not to drink sufficient water will.

How much water should you drink per day?

During daily breathing, urinating, and intestinal movements, our body loses water. For the purpose of working of the body properly, water lost in the body is necessary to fill through drinking and water-containing foods. Doctors mainly recommend that healthy people, who live in a moderate climate, drink water about 8 or 9 glasses in a day. You can find calculating the quantity of the water, which is necessary to drink in a day in the following manner:

Substitution relationship

Quantity of the urine, which is excreted by people in a day, is 1,5 liter (about 6,3 glasses) on average.  At least 1 liter of water (about 4 glasses) is lost in a day during the course of breathing, sweating and movement of intestines. The taken food provides around 20 per cent of the body's water requirements. Therefore, if it is taken 3 liter (more than 8 glasses) water or other drinks in a day together with daily normal feeding, the body's need for water will be provided.

8 glasses of water per day

Another approach is to drink 8 glasses of water per day. 200-250 ml water glass and 8 glasses of water in a day is around 1.6 - 2 liter. Although drinking of 8 glasses of water in a day was scientifically proven, it can be easily followed by many people.

Diet-related suggestions

The Institute of Medicine recommends that men around 3 liters (around 13 glasses), women 2.2 liters (around 9 glasses) per day drink water. In the light of those mentioned above, if water is sufficiently drunk and lack of water is rarely felt, as well as if urine is secreted in 1.5 liters (about 6.3 glasses) or more colorless or light yellow per day; then organism is provided with water completely. If a person hesitates in the quantity of water drunk, that person is necessary to consult a physician or diet specialist.
